The First Visit
A chiropractic visit and the relationship between doctor and patient
The first visit consists of assessing the patient through chiropractic tests related to their current problem as well as their medical history, through observation and the study of diagnostic findings.
For the medical history, we ask patients to fill out a questionnaire in which they can report their clinical history and describe the problem for which they require chiropractic care.
The chiropractic visit consists of two parts: the first is to get to know the patient and their history, while in the second the chiropractor performs specific tests to identify the cause of the pain and then carries out the first treatment. The chiropractic visit lasts a total of 40 minutes. For the first visit, patients are also required to fill out and sign the privacy notice (in duplicate) and a personal data form.
Chiropractic promotes health and wellbeing by correcting disorders in the body’s control system.
You shouldn’t turn to a chiropractic clinic only when you feel pain. Pain can be kept at bay by following the path of prevention. The truth is that “there would be no serious health problems if we took care of the small ones”.
Chiropractic promotes health and wellbeing by correcting disorders in the body’s control system, the nervous system. Modern scientific research has shown that regular chiropractic adjustments reduce the risk of serious illness and improve quality of life.
One good reason to see your chiropractor is to correct any postural imbalances in your body: poor posture, an improper curvature of the spine, leg-length differences, uneven shoe wear and other asymmetries often improve dramatically with chiropractic care. This applies to every member of the family, but especially to your children. Often, the earlier you intervene, the more effective and lasting the results of treatment. For this reason it is very important to have a check-up at least once a year.
Whatever brings you and your family to chiropractic, what matters is discovering the short- and long-term benefits you can gain from regular chiropractic care. Ask your chiropractor to explain how chiropractic is safe and natural for the whole family, and how it can meet and exceed your expectations for wellbeing and better health.
Why Not Have Preventive Spinal Check-ups?
When a patient books a visit with a chiropractor, they often already have back problems that have existed for many years, with the spine suffering from a lifetime of neglect.
Chiropractic is an ideal preventive treatment for keeping the spine healthy. Thorough spinal check-ups allow the chiropractor to detect vertebral stress before the first symptoms appear.
To fight the slow onset of chronic illness, regular spinal check-ups with a chiropractor are essential: when there is no tension on the spinal nerves, energy can flow freely through the body, ensuring overall wellbeing and helping to prevent serious conditions from developing. Why wait until you have health problems before seeing a chiropractor?
Chiropractic Aims for the Complete Wellbeing of the Person
The theory behind chiropractic speaks of a “triangle of health”, whose three sides represent the three fundamental factors of a person’s wellbeing: structure, biochemistry and mind. The balance between these areas can be disrupted by interference — what the doctor calls a “subluxation” — or by illness: if interference affects one of the three levels, it inevitably affects the others as well. When chiropractic corrects a muscular or skeletal disorder, the improvement also extends to psychological and metabolic aspects.
Chiropractic Treatment
A chiropractic treatment aims to achieve and maintain a state of overall wellbeing by restoring harmony between structural, chemical and mental factors.
